Goal
- The Madison Created Student Surveys for both the K-2 and 3-5 grade bands will show at least a 20% amount of growth on questions 3, 7, 8, 10, and 11 between the Fall and Spring surveys.
- The Panorama 3-5 grade band survey will increase from 79% to at least 85% for Supportive Relationships, and 69% to 75% in Positive Feelings responses between the Fall and Spring surveys. All reported demographic groups will show at least a 10% increase in responses.
Action Plan
- Counselor, support staff, and paraeducators will offer a series of targeted and small group social skills sessions. These sessions will focus on interpersonal skills, compassion, and problem solving skills.
- Each classroom teacher will teach the Second Step curriculum in its entirety and will utilize the language and reinforce skills taught in Second Step whenever meeting with students.
- Madison’s Family Liaison will reach out to students and families to provide support and offer resources
- All students will participate in the Madison Created Survey in the late Fall of 2022 and Spring of 2023.
- 3rd-5th grade students will participate in the Panorama SEL Survey in October 2022 and Spring of 2023.

Goal

Action Plan
- 4th and 5th grade students will participate in the Spring CBA
- Creation of mini lessons as a follow up themes, questions, and events that arise.
- The Madison Racial Equity Team will meet routinely throughout the year in order to address site specific needs.
- Families will participate in the OSD Panorama SEL Survey in late fall 2022 and late spring of 2023.
- Land acknowledgements will be added to any school announcements, office newsletters, and assemblies.
- Library collection will continue to be curated in an effort to better represent all students and cultures.
- Principal, Family Liaison, and Counselor will offer equity-focused read-alouds in classrooms on a monthly basis, with a different focus each month.
- Teachers will present lessons on why schools say the Land Acknowledgement and its importance
- Teachers will provide opportunities for class discussions when major events related to race or discrimination draw national or community attention.
